The England international winger has signed a three-year contract with QPR. Wright-Phillips admits he is looking forward to get started at Loftus Road.
“I am delighted. I am really looking forward to it all kicking off,” Wright-Phillips told Sky Sports News.
“After speaking to the manager and seeing what direction the club was going, I just really wanted to be a part of helping that to happen.
“With a few signings, and with squad we have got, we are heading in the right direction.”
He said of City: “I just have to say thank you for all the support you have given me during my 10 years story there and I will never forget you. There will always be a blue spot in my heart.”
