The 26-year-old joined his hometown club from Udinese this summer and scored two goals in his first league game at home.
Quagliarella told Il Corriere dello Sport: “What is happening to me at the moment is extraordinary. I am so happy.
“I don’t know how to describe this moment, but it’s like a dream that has come true. I really hope that players who begin playing can play for their hometown side.
“It’s all easy for me. I know how the fans live for the team, what they think and what they want, as I have always been one of them.
“Now I am on the pitch and they surround me in the stands, but it feels as if I was amongst them.”
