Rakitic’s move from Bundesliga side Schalke to Sevilla was confirmed on Friday.
“Sevilla is a great opportunity for my career,” he explained to los Nervionenses’ official website.
“I had many choices, many clubs in other leagues asked for me, but wanted to come to Spanish football and Sevilla seemed the best option, since they are a great team and I will not have problems adapting.”
