Raul scored two and Dutch winger Arjen Robben one at the win at home a the Bernabeu.
“Getting a victory when we didn’t need the points is very positive,” he told the official Real Madrid website.
“I liked the players’ performance. This will raise the team’s morale, as all the players worked hard to give a good account of themselves.
“They all had a great attitude – they wanted to play a good game and please the fans.”
He added: “I see that the players are keen to turn the situation around.
“They are the first ones to be concerned, and they don’t want to keep on playing badly because we suffer too when things go wrong.
“They’ve been put to work right away, and they’ve shown me that they want to improve quickly, and that they’ll do everything in their power to achieve it.”
