The Algeria international has been linked with a move to Championship winners Queens Park Rangers.
Bougherra is currently putting talks over his future on hold until after Algeria’s African Nations Cup qualifier against Morocco.
He said in the Daily Record: “Right now I have this important game in Morocco to play and that is all that is concerning me.
“It’s too early to talk about my future as I still belong to Rangers, but if a Premier League club contacts me I will start discussions.
“After the game in Marrakech, my phone will begin to ring.”
