Ranieri told The Sun: “Last season Chelsea were out on their own but it’s not going to happen this season. United will be with them all the way – to the end of the season.
“Sir Alex has come back in style. He has done some fantastic work with United’s youngsters and now Chelsea will not be able to shake them off.
“On top of that, Chelsea want to win the Champions League above all – and maybe a little part of them feels that they can leave the Premiership this year.
“Of course, they want to win all the trophies – and they have a big enough squad to do so. But the Champions League is the one they really want.
“Manchester United will still be there in the Premiership so any Chelsea weakness will cost them.
“It’s going to be fantastic to watch this race until the end of the season.”
