Ranieri says the Brazilian international would not fit in his 4-4-2 system.
“Diego is a great talent, but he is a trequartista,” Ranieri explained.
“We would have to change our system to fit him in and one of our wingers would have to be benched.
“In the end I would rather stick with the men that we have, even if we need some back-up.”
