Sneijder also said he will travel to play with Holland in thier up-coming World Cup qualifiers.
The Dutchman has been out for around two months with a injury.
He said: “I am ready. I am going to play some minutes against Espanyol and then I am going to Holland to play for the national team. It is good for me.
“If I remain in Madrid I will only be training with five players whereas if I am with Holland I will be with more people and will better myself.”
“The important thing is that I am ready to play when [Bernd] Schuster wants me.”
He added on his injury: “It is very hard, I have wanted to play every day. It is is difficult to go to training and watch your team-mates go to play outside whilst I stay in the gym.”
“When they played a game I was on the sofa in my house, I do not want to endure another game on the sofa.”
