But the Spain Under-21 international insists he is more than happy at the Spanish side.
“I am happy in San Sebastian,” he told Sky Sports.
“It is normal that I am happy with this news, but those things depend on the club.
“Now my head is only focused on helping Real for us to make sure we are not in a dangerous position in the table.”
Martinez has also been linked with the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Martinez’s current contract with Real Sociedad expires in June 2015 and includes a £28million buy-out clause.
