Adams was sacked from his job as Portsmouth manager on Monday, after taking over at the club when Redknapp left for Tottenham in October.
“It’s crazy. They were five minutes away from beating Liverpool at the weekend,” he told the Daily Express.
“If he had won that game then who knows? I think they’ve been a bit hasty. He deserved longer. Tony works hard at this job and he has got a lot to offer.
“Gaydamak wants success and is looking to sell the club. He sees that, if they go down, it’s going to do (lose) his money. So he probably panicked.”
