Kranjcar completed a move from Portsmouth to Tottenham on Tuesday.
“He’s a good player. I’ve got two Croatian boys here who are absolutely fantastic professionals and great players,” Redknapp told Sky Sports News.
“He’s a terrific footballer and I just felt that as it was his last year of his contract at Portsmouth, so it was a good deal.”
“Portmsouth did okay as well, it was decent money for them for a player in his last year, and it was a good signing for us,” he added.
“So both clubs are happy with the outcome and I’m sure he’s a real Tottenham player. He’s got great ability and he’ll do well here.”
