“I think we fell apart after conceding the second goal,” he said. “We became more submissive and suffered mentally.
“It’s a question of mentality when you play away from home. We went 2-0 down against Inter at home, yet still managed to recover, so it’s definitely a mental problem rather than a tactical or physical one.
“We tried to control the ball and deny Juve any reference points. We used this system at Udine [where Reggina won 1-0] and it worked a lot better.”
