He told the Daily Star: “Let’s see where we are by Christmas.
“Everyone was going on about the season being over, but that is silly after only three games, although that is the way it is these days.
“We know what we have got to do – and that is to win games. If we do that, we will put ourselves in a position to be successful this season.
“Time will tell. I think it is too early to say if the big four will drop many more points.
“Let’s look at the table at Christmas and we will have a better idea.”
