The former Parma coach said: “I ask the fans for patience until December. I ask them for faith and trust.
“If we don’t achieve any title by December I’ll leave the club. If I have to go then I’m not going to ask for cash or anything.”
He added on the frustration of the River Plate supporters: “This is fundamental for River’s fans, who I still respect in the good times and the bad times. I respect their frustration. Their frustration is my own.”
