Ronaldo, who is still recovering from a serious knee injury, is keen on a return to European football.
The Brazilian is currently training with Flamengo.
“Out of respect, I cannot give you all the details,” he told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I can only say that Ronaldo is training hard to be fit for a friendly match that will be played on November 17 in Morocco and that will pit his ‘friends’ against Zinedine Zidane’s ‘friends’.
“As for the whispers, it is still too early to talk about this kind of stuff. There are no negotiations underway at present, but we were indeed approached by an Italian side.
“However, we first want to complete his rehabilitation process and I can assure you that I have not heard from the likes of Samp or Siena.”
