Dutch surgeon Niek van Dijk has told Real that the Portuguese winger should not return to action until at least November 20.
But the former Manchester United ace may face surgery if his ankle fails to heal.
Real Madrid insisted last week that surgery would not be necessary, but Ronaldo may be forced to go under the knife.
