The Portugal international started Sunday’s Peace Cup clash with Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad.
“I’m very happy for having made my debut at the Santiago Bernabeu,” he said. “The fans have applauded and I’ve enjoyed it a lot.
“Many new players have come in and we are starting to understand each other. I think it’s normal that the work we are doing can’t be seen yet.”
