Reports have suggested that United were prepared to sell Rooney in a £40million deal.
But the 26-year-old insists that he has no plans of leaving United.
He said via his official Twitter account on Wednesday evening: “Read the nonsense in the papers and heard what people have to say.absolute rubbish. #heretostay.”
Rooney’s current contract with United is set to expire in the summer of 2015.
