United only managed a goalless draw at Giuseppe Meazza and will have to beat Inter Milan at Old Trafford in order to progress to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
“We really should have taken one of those chances and given ourselves a better chance for the game at Old Trafford,” he stated to Sky Sports News.
“It’s always a difficult place to come and a draw is still a good result.”
Michael Carrick was not that disappointed with the outcome of the game.
Carrick said: “I’m not too disappointed. It’s not a bad result. It’s just when we’ve played well we could and should have scored.”
