Sadler was reluctant at first to drop down to League Two however the lure of playing first team football seems enough for the 25 year old defender.
Manager Graham Turner told Shrewsbury’s official website: “He had a big money move from Birmingham but it hasn’t worked out as he would have hoped so far.
“He had a spell at Stockport last season and did really well.
“I met Mat last Friday and was impressed with his determination and desire to play football.
“I think initially he didn’t want to drop down a league but ultimately he was impressed with the ambition of the club to be successful and I look forward to working with him.”
