Saha told Sky Sports News: “Today we worked hard and I think this brilliant goal surprised us.
“We showed great mental strength and had to dig in, and we’ve done that.
“In some ways, we tried to avoid the first goal, but it happened for them and we reacted very well.”
He added: “I think we needed a bit more movement up front and it wasn’t going very well for me up front.
“After half-time we showed a bit more composure, so we scored two good goals.
“It helped me a lot because his (Rooney’s) movement is always a help for mine and I do enjoy to play alongside someone.
“It was very important to get a good back four, a good shape and that’s what we’ve done.”
