Salgado said after match: “I have a different read on the game. I’d give the team a 10 in every aspect. There were a lot of jokes made about how many goals we’d concede. The game was at its finest when the corner was taken. We defended to close too goal.
“We knew we’d have our chances. Barcelona are already celebrating the league, but we are only thinking about beating Valencia and getting to January in prime form. There is still a lot of league to be played.”
He added: “After this match last year I said we’d win the league, and I’ll say it again this year. We need to get our injured players back. It’s a shame Robben couldn’t play today. Barcelona didn’t have many clear scoring chances. We’ll play our hearts out in the return leg.”
