Sampdoria have lost four fo their last five matches and have dropped down the Serie A table.
“There is little to justify. Genoa played better than us and we did not read the match properly for 55 minutes,” Di Carlo told Repubblica.
“We were missing several players to make it a better derby.
“We were not ourselves until they scored, but then we came to life. I will be speaking with the side tomorrow, as I am too angry at the moment.
“We should have played the match differently. Maybe the players were more nervous than usual because it was a derby, but it is inadmissible to allow the opposition to dominate for more than a half of football.
“In the next derby, we must do what they did to us tonight.”
