Montella said: “I’m very emotional because as a Neapolitan it will be a unique experience to play in Naples for the opposing team.
“I am really looking forward to it and it is great to see Napoli back in Serie A, but I would have liked to play for them and it’s a shame that never happened.
“To be honest I had expected some contact from sporting director Pierpaolo Marino and I was a little disappointed.
“I don’t know if I will celebrate if I score, it all depends on my feelings at that moment. But of course I will try to find the target, I always want to get goals.”
