The new Azzurri hero scored both of Italy’s goals in the 2-0 victory over Lithuania this week.
He said: It was Walter Novellino who taught me to start out wide in order to reach the goal. Now you always need to invent something new, because the opponents study your tapes hundreds of times to figure you out.
“So I try to surprise them. I always want to create something new and never score two goals alike!”
He added on his future: “I have scored two goals for Italy, now it’s time for others to do the work for me! I am going on holiday and for a month will break away completely.
“Until the co-ownership between Sampdoria and Udinese is clarified, nothing can happen anyway. Samp believed in me and I am happy in Genoa, as it has the sea like Naples and the people respect you. The crucial thing is to be in a side that lets me play.”
