He told the Birmingham Mail: “It’s obvious my future lies elsewhere. I’m only playing reserve football at the moment and I’m better than that.
“This has been the most frustrating season I’ve ever known and my career has just stood still for the last 18 months.
“It started well enough for me when I was selected for the opening game of the season at Arsenal, but then I got the injury and it’s all been downhill since then.”
