Fabiano has been linked with a move away from Sevilla since last summer, but signed a new deal with the Spanish side in August.
“They (Sao Paulo) have made us an offer which we are evaluating and studying. It’s complex and needs time,” explained Rodriguez.
“I don’t know what will happen. To move forward it needs to be an offer that satisfies us, something which as it stands, doesn’t.
“It’s a purely economic offer, and there is no player or swap involved.”
“He’s a difficult character. Sometimes he pulls one way and then pushes the other, but he has always been like that. We have enjoyed his character and we still do.
“The possibility of him going to Brazil has been knocking around for some time, but the decision will be Sevilla’s and no one else’s.”
