Neuer had been believed to have agreed a deal to join Bayern Munich after revealing earlier in the season that he would be leaving at the end of the campaign.
Clemens Toennies said: “He is like a son to me. I am completely against this transfer. I want to snatch him away from Bayern’s jaws.”
