Schoeckel has been struggling with injury problems this season and is forced to drop down the leagues. The 26-year-old has agreed a two-year deal with Wehen.
Schoeckel has featured for Cottbus for four years, but he will now play Wehen alongside the reserve sides of such clubs as Bayern Munich and Stuttgart.
