Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has compared Manchester United star Rasmus Hojlund to Ruud van Nistelrooy after his Champions League brace against Galatasaray.
The 20-year-old scored two goals and had another ruled out for offside in a match United lost 2-3 at home at Old Trafford.
“You’re normally really disappointed, [to lose your first Champions League home match at home]” said Scholes on TNT Sports.
“[But] I think I saw enough tonight in a team that excited me. Hojlund, especially them two goals.
“He took the two goals brilliantly. I absolutely loved the second goal, he gave the centre-half no chance, clean pair of heels and his finish – a composed finish. We also had a goal that got disallowed.
“And I thought, ‘Wow there’s a bit of Van Nistelrooy in there.”
Van Nistelrooy scored 150 goals in 219 appearances for Manchester United.
