The 27-year-old is set to sign a new deal that will keep him at the Bundesliga side until the summer of 2014.
“We are in discussions with him,” Kind told AFP. “If the last few points are clarified, things will move along relatively quickly.
“Christian has suggested that he wants to stay. He would like to play European football next season: in Hanover he has the chance in theory, but he definitely won’t have that in Wolfsburg.”
