Sevilla have funds to spend after selling defender Abdoulay Konko to Genoa, and 23 year old Chilean Medel is someone they have been keen to sign.
Medel told La Red: “I hope the president of Boca Juniors and the people understand me. Sevilla has followed me for many months and made me an offer that is very important for my future and for my children. Now I want to leave, and this is my chance.”
