The 25-year-old impressed while on loan at Mallorca last season and has been heavily linked with a move to Sevilla.
Sevilla chairman Jose Maria Del Nido told Punto Radio: “For me this is out. The English want €8m and we offered €4m. Our money is limited and we do not have the capacity for extra.
“We respect the value imposed by WBA but now Sevilla is working in other directions.”
