Fabiano was heavily linked with a move away from Sevilla, with clubs such as Tottenham and Marseille expressing their interest in the striker.
But Fabiano ended up signing a new contract with Sevilla.
“I had some attractive propositions but the price was set too high, and no club could match the fee asked by Sevilla,” Fabiano told L’Equipe.
“At the end of the summer transfer window, I have renewed my contract until June 2013.
“But you know I am fine here. I feel really at home at Sevilla, even if I was tempted by other adventures.”
“It was an honour to have been contacted by l’OM and I let both clubs negotiate,” he added.
“Sevilla had to accept the proposition. I told my officials I was keen to join Marseille.
“But I didn’t want to put any pressure on them. The proposition was attractive to me, but not to Sevilla.
“I said yes because I knew the club’s dimension. It is a great club.”
