Sibierski told The Journal: “I believe I have proved to the manager, who has always supported me and shown great faith in me, what I can do.
“That was mainly because I wasn’t given any real chance at Manchester City but when I have been given an opportunity, as I have at Newcastle, I have taken it. The manager has to take the credit for that. He has shown faith in me and I appreciate that.
“He is a very good man-manager who always speaks to his players, whereas some managers only talk to the 11 who start the match. It means the players who are not starting the game still feel involved.”
