However, that is not expected to be a problem, as the winger is reportedly highly keen on a move to the Premier League.
Could prove to be a great buy
It seems strange to say that a player arriving at a club for £37million could be cheap. However, transfer fees have gone crazy in recent years, so the fee looks to be a relatively small one compared to some deals.
Ziyech ticks a lot of boxes for Chelsea. At 26 years of age, he is young enough to be a big asset for years to come, yet old enough to have gained a lot of experience. That experience includes playing in the Champions League, helping the Dutch champions to the final of the competition last season.
However, obviously, the biggest plus to signing Ziyech is that he is a top-quality player. This season he has found the net eight times while creating an impressive 21 goals for his teammates in just 29 appearances. He will certainly add something to the Blues attacking options.
Experienced players set to leave this summer
While Ziyech is set to arrive at Stamford Bridge this summer, four senior players are heading through the exit. Experienced trio Olivier Giroud, Willian and Pedro will all be out of contract.
All free are set to leave on free transfers, with Willian linked heavily with a move to Catalan giants Barcelona. Belgium forward Michy Batshuayi could also leave the club from the English capital.
Chelsea could be busy this summer
Signing Ziyech is likely to be just the start of a potentially busy summer for Chelsea in the transfer market. After two transfer windows without new additions, head coach Frank Lampard is likely to be keen to strengthen his squad.
With Chelsea currently in a Champions League spot, they will no doubt need to add further quality to their ranks. However, signing Ziyech is a good start to their summer recruitment drive.
