The Italian giants are keen to sign Glen Johnson and it is rumoured that they will try to use Sissoko, who is surplus to requirements with the Old Lady, as a makeweight in a potential deal.
The midfielder was originally signed for 11 million euros from Liverpool in 2008 having followed Rafa Benitez to Anfield from Valencia. The Kop faithful may hope that should the Mali international return, the Spaniard will not be following.
