Sissoko out until mid-September

The Mali international fractured his left foot against Torino in the Serie A in March.

A statement on the club’s official website read: “After undergoing a bone scan which confirmed the inflammation of the fractured part, Momo Sissoko went to Lyon yesterday for a consultation session with Professor Ferrat, accompanied by Dr Stefanini, Juventus club doctor and by Professor Gaudino.

“In light of preceding radiological tests carried out by Professor Faletti and indications given by the orthopaedic specialists consulted, the Juventus medical staff have decided, in agreement with the player, to keep him resting for four weeks during which he will undergo medical treatment and physiotherapy.

“This period of rest is necessary to aid the healing of the inflammation, the complete disappearance of the pain symptoms and the prevention of a possible relapse.

“After this period, following new clinical tests, it is presumed Sissoko will be able to get back to specific activities on the pitch.”
