The 25-year-old left Holland’s 3-0 win over Japan at the weekend due to an ankle injury, but scans have revealed it is not a bad injury.
“The midfielder underwent X-rays and the good news is that he has done no serious damage,” an Inter statement read.
“The player will remain with the Dutch national team until Monday to undergo further tests, after which his national team’s medical staff will decide whether he is to be fit to play next Wednesday’s World Cup qualifier against Scotland.”
