He said: “There has been interest – but, even if someone was willing to pay £60m, Gareth will be here until the summer.
“At some point, he will leave and something will be agreed but the key is he needs the rest of this season and next.
“It’s important for his progression that he stays. We’ve agreed with him and his parents he will be here until the summer.”
