The match ended in a 1-1 draw, after goals by Roma striker Francesco Totti and Olympiakos defender Julio Cesar. Totti also missed a penalty in the first half of the match.
Spalletti said: “I’m a bit disappointed because we could have managed better the last two games, let some player rest.
“Unfortunately we did not take advantage of the spaces on teh wings which they gave us, we lacked the distance and we did not manage to push on the wings. Then in the second half the squad was short and aggressive, we did not allow them to breathe.”
