The Brazilian striker has picked up a thigh injury that will keep him out of action for about two weeks.
Ari sustained the injury during Spartak Moscow’s 1-0 win over Zenit St Petersburg last week.
Spartak Moscow coach Valeri Karpin has confirmed to uefa.com that the striker has suffered a thigh muscle tear.
