Viana joins the Portuguese side from La Liga giants Valencia on a free transfer.
Viana has signed a three-year contract with Sporting Braga, after falling down the pecking order at Valencia.
“We were talking since the end of last season and with Braga’s effort and my desire to return we knew this process would have a happy ending,” Viana was quoted as saying on the official Braga website.
