The 22-year-old has impressed for Sporting Lisbon since joining the Portuguese side from Utrecht in the summer.
United coach Mike Phelan recently claimed the club were keeping tabs on the young Dutch striker.
Wolfswinkel’s agent Louis Laros said: “Ricky is doing very well with Sporting and is very happy with the club, the city and the supporters. For him everything is perfect, for me this rumour is not it is not a surprise but I have not spoken with anybody.
“It is normal the kid is linked with other clubs because people watch the Portuguese Liga and as always club scouts check on the best men and today Ricky is one of the best forwards.”
