Spurs lost 4-3 against the Italian side at the Giuseppe Meazza and the return at White Hart Lane is set for next week.
Gomes was sent off just eight minutes into the game against Inter Milan and the Italian side had an 4-0 lead at the break.
“Being sent off after eight minutes, it is difficult to play against Inter away from home with 10 men but I thought we did very well. We did a good job,” Gomes told Sky Sports News.
“We have a great chance to beat them. I hope we can do a job against them.
“We start 11 v 11 and that’s the best thing to think about.
“We have to keep going because we have a great team and a great squad and we can beat them at home.”
