The new deal will keep the 22-year-old at Rennes until the summer of 2015. The highly-rated defender has recently been linked with a move to Tottenham.
He told the club’s official website: “I have improved a lot since my arrival. I owe a lot to the club.
“I have extended my stay because the club want to build a team capable of competing at the top of Ligue 1.
“I want to commit myself to that project.”
