The new deal will keep Ebbers at St Pauli until the summer of 2012.
“I feel very comfortable here at St Pauli and in the city of Hamburg. I fit in very easily here,” he told Bild.
“We have a good group of players, we have achieved things together as a team and we are still very hungry for more.”
