Stoke star targets top ten finish

The Potters are currently 12th in the table after their 2-0 win against Swansea last weekend.

Whelan told the club’s official website: “Our immediate priority is to get those 40 points on board, but beyond that we are looking for a top-10 position come the end of the season and hopefully trying to get the most points we have ever had since being in the Premier League.

“The win on Sunday has given us something to build upon between now and the end of the season.

“We’ve had a sticky patch recently, but there is no reason why we can’t go on from here and pick up a good tally of points to give us a fantastic finale.”
