Nakamura has been linked with a January return to Japan and Yokohama F-Marinos have already expressed their interest.
“Knowing Shunsuke, he would not upset his team-mates, manager or coaches and I think he’d put the team before himself,” the Celtic boss told the Daily Record.
“I spoke to Shunsuke on Friday and he never brought anything up.”
