The veteran is in his second spell with Everton.
He told the club website: “It was pretty straightforward to be honest. It is not as if I am 21 and it is going to get complicated.
“I am happy to be signing and proud I’m still able to play in the Premiership at 35 years old. It is a nice moment.”
